Not to mention, the author set the book in California but is clearly British herself, and didn't bother to change any of the lingo or spelling (Tell me, what California 17-year-old wears jumpers and trousers?). It was like reading poorly edited fanfiction. First of all, let me say this: I get it. I understand why Elle fell for Noah.

Even though, from my point of view, the movie was better this time, let’s not forget that the idea came from the book. And yes, the movie was 80% different. A lot of aspects were changed. But still, the most important things were kept.

But they were so perfect for each other! At least in the book they were. On screen, Noah was way too tall! And Elle could have been prettier.
