I've heard that theres a lot a wear on the laser from ripping, but there are a few caveats for me and this specific situation. • I've messed around with OPL, displaying my ignorance within this very sub to get answers/tips/advice, and the best I and a few others have surmised is that my copy is a dud (the source has always been good, and all other games obtained the same way are working just fine in the hdd, including Battlefront 1). A compatibility someone linked to had a.cfg file for the game, and even after copying that (in what I assume was the right place, I was replacing the existing one) still no go. • This is the only game that won't load on OPL, so I was willing to obtain another hardcopy for a new rip.

If the HDL rip doesn't work, the disc might just stay in the drive permanently as the one game I still need to spin. Everything else I've installed works fine.

• Getting this specific game to run is literally why I bothered to buy the hdd, because it wouldn't run off USB (and USButility (sp?) didn't output a working copy). • Nobody seems to have a work around that works.
